WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR?

Brian will present injury mitigation strategies and mobility/recovery tools for recreational athletes in field and court sports, hybrid athletes (strength and endurance training), and other embodied movers who like to play hard.

— If you’re ramping up for higher intensity training this spring, get started with tools to keep you healthy and feeling good along the way.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

In this day of workshops, you’ll learn how to self-assess and self-treat hip and low back pain / sensitivity / tightness, mobility restrictions, and deficits in force tolerance.

Brian will cover:

— Principles that have helped him and his clients see sustainability with greater ease, fewer injuries, and faster injury recovery during periods of higher intensity training. It’s not just about the workshop time together. It’s about what you take away from it so you can make better decisions for yourself moving forward. These are lessons you’ll have for a lifetime of robust activity!

— Strategies for monitoring your response to training sessions and introducing the appropriate intensity of active mobility work for warm-up, cool-down, and on active recovery days.

— Finally, you’ll be able to use your improved joint function and tissue capacity to work on specific sport-related qualities like strength, power, speed, and agility.

REGISTRATION

Early registration price (through end of day Friday, Feb 23rd): $280 for both sessions

He loves games and sports of all kinds—he played many growing up and still plays Ultimate Frisbee competitively. He tries to bring a sense of joy, play, and wonder to everything he does.

He has a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State and has been working as a trainer/coach for 13 years. In that time, he’s come to understand that genuine, uninhibited self-expression is immensely powerful.
