Movement Coaching
Strength and cardio conditioning for women age 40+. In-person or online with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
What is Movement Coaching?
One-on-one tutoring on the whys and hows of strength and cardio conditioning. Sustainable, progressive programming designed for you and your life goals.
Think of it like personal training that teaches you how to train yourself autonomously for life. You get:
- Accountability by showing up at a specific time and place (in-person or online)
- Guidance on workouts to do independently between our sessions together
- Troubleshooting and exercise modifications from a Doctor of Physical Therapy that supports your preferences, goals, and any discomfort that may arise from pain, medical conditions, or prior injuries
- A space to ask all of your questions and gain confidence in a fitness routine that is truly yours
“For a woman over 50 who wants to have healthy longevity with freedom of movement, Caitlin Casella is a magic elixir. You have to follow her instructions, of course, but the results will astound you.” — JAN E.
Movement Coaching is appropriate if you are:
- Just finishing a physical therapy plan of care and wanting to progress safely into more robust activity
- Apprehensive about jumping straight into a gym routine by yourself or working out with just any personal trainer
- Looking for an experienced coach for acquiring new skills, building strength, and learning how to train yourself for life
Do I need to complete a course of Physical Therapy before starting Movement Coaching sessions?
- Not necessarily. We view rehab as training in the presence of injury.
- As long as we're able to make your training sessions comfortable and you don't have symptoms disrupting your daily activities (beyond occasionally noticing some sensation), it's fine to proceed with Movement Coaching.
- Physical Therapy sessions are always an option if something arises that interferes with your daily life and greatly restricts your training.

- Please note that no doctor's referral needed for these visits, and they cannot be reimbursed by insurance.
Practice Human also hosts a number of experienced coaches, trainers, and movement teachers right here in our studio who are ready to build an individualized program for you.

Working with Caitlin has truly inspired me with hope that I thought wasn’t possible before. She’s a legit professional that knows the human body and can clearly yet enthusiastically communicate to me what my issues are and how to approach them. Highly recommend.
— MATTHEW O.
For my 31st birthday I got a pinched nerve in my back and under the supervision of Caitlin, I went from being unable to stand on one leg to running after a few months. The attention to detail from the team was everything I could have wanted while I was battling a scary back injury and working to get back to 100%.
