Our approach to physical therapy treatment is all about education, addressing the multidimensional nature of pain, a robust movement and exercise program, and self-treatment strategies that you can use to independently manage your symptoms and prevent recurrence long term.
We use active treatment methods. Rather than relying on ongoing visits to other providers for treatments they do to you, our aim at Practice Human is to help you better understand your condition, share in the decision making process, and equip you with tools you can implement yourself. We’ll know we’ve delivered on our mission when you no longer require physical therapy services.
INSURANCE & PRICES
Practice Human is an out of network practice. While we are not in network with commercial insurance carriers, we are a proud Medicare provider.
What does this mean?
If you have Medicare as your primary coverage…
— You are eligible for physical therapy visits under Medicare billing policy.
If you have out of network coverage in your insurance plan…
— Claims submitted to your insurance count toward your deductible and you'll be reimbursed for a portion of the visit price once the deductible has been met. If you'd like to have us check on your out of network coverage, we're happy to do so. Please give us a call to discuss: 646-609-3995
Flexible pricing may be available…
— If you do not have out of network insurance coverage and there is financial need. We offer payment plans. We’ve also developed services and support outside of physical therapy sessions which may help bring down the number of visits needed to resolve your problem.
We like to be up front about prices and not have you clicking through 12 pages on a website or waiting around on the phone. We also strive to remove any of the guesswork that often comes with commercial insurance plans: “Will my visits be covered, will they not?” We’ve been there. The guessing games and surprise bills are no fun.
Further, physical therapy treatment shouldn’t be limited by the constraints of insurance authorizations. At Practice Human, your treatment is based on collaborative decision making between you and your therapist, not what your insurance thinks you need or don’t need in your plan of care.
SINGLE PHYSICAL THERAPY VISIT (IN PERSON OR ONLINE)
◦ Initial Evaluation (60 min): $260
◦ Follow-up Visit (50 min): $200
PHYSICAL THERAPY PACKAGES
◦ Introductory Package - 1 Initial evaluation and 2 follow-up visits: $580 (save $80)
◦ 6 follow-up visits: $1,140 (save $60)
All of our PT visits are 50-60 minutes one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
The same pricing applies for in-person and online visits.
We provide access to exercise programs and videos through your patient portal and a messaging system for a direct line of communication with your therapist.
Unlike traditional in-network clinics that will have you coming 2 times per week for 6-12 weeks, we do everything we can to solve your problem in as few visits as possible. We like to spread out the visits toward the end of your plan of care to once every two weeks, or once a month. This is how we transition you toward independence. You may be surprised how much time and money could be saved going out of network when you consider high copays and deductibles, time missed from work, and unnecessary time spent in therapy sessions.
