WHO IS THIS CLASS SERIES FOR?

Navigating Strength is appropriate for those with a foundation in strength basics who are seeking more options and variety.

You may have found your groove with a few strength exercises and have one or two ways of performing them confidently. But what happens when you’re traveling with limited equipment, or at the gym during a busy time when your usual equipment isn’t available? Do you ever find yourself stuck, not sure what to do? Do you have tools for switching it up to accommodate shifts in your environment, energy levels, body proportions, or preferences?

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

In this 6 week progressive series, you’ll broaden your experience and learn multiple options for a wider variety of exercises.

Navigating Strength is about more than how to perform exercises (form, resistance, sets, reps, etc). Caitlin and Macklen will help you discern how to get similar strength work across a variety of equipment, so you have more options at the gym and at home.

— You’ll also learn strategies for monitoring your response to workouts and making sense of new sensations.

— You’ll gain tools for managing exercise intensity levels throughout the week and better understand rest and recovery.

— Finally, you’ll be able to focus your training methods on improving specific qualities of overall fitness (strength, conditioning, endurance, power, speed, agility and more).

MEET YOUR COACHES

Caitlin

After a 14 year career teaching yoga and mentoring yoga teachers, Caitlin transitioned into other systems of holistic movement, somatics, strength and conditioning. Through this evolution, she experienced firsthand how beneficial strength training and cardio conditioning can be—not only on a physical level—but mentally, for emotional stability, pain management, and a confidence boost that extends beyond physical endeavors.

When she made the decision to go to school for Physical Therapy, she knew one day she’d start her own practice. Caitlin also knew she didn’t want to spend all my time on PT treatment alone. At Practice Human, Caitlin teaches group classes and leads small group training sessions that bridge the gap between PT rehab and ushering people fully and safely back to more robust physical activity. She’s excited to bring together a diverse group of therapists, teachers, trainers, and coaches to work alongside her and SUPPORT YOU through a continuum of care.
